LUKE UPDATE #2: Annnnd it’s gone. Out of respect for the artist, and per request straight from Big Sean’s Office. Apparently, this is just a reference track from when Drake & Big Sean worked together in New York with Kanye. Even the beat isn’t right. Don’t you hate when suckaz couple their brand-names with words like “PREMIERE“, taking the liberty of tagging your name on a track that you didn’t have anything to do with creating?.. All you’re really doing is pissing us off anyways; having to listen to your butchery of a man’s work. Get right, ungrateful/greedy bastehds.

In a recent interview with The Red Bulletin, legendary Hip Hop producer DJ Premier spoke briefly on Kanye’s career, as well as his highly-anticipated fifth album.

Preme noted how Kanye’s emphasis on sampling brought the production technique back to the forefront at a time when synth-laden soundscapes were the norm. “Well, first of all, if you look at all of Kanye West’s output, he actually did a lot to bring back sampling and make it cool again, even though he’s more of a mainstream artist.”

Premier also provided insight on Ye’s new album, revealing that the Chicago producer/emcee would be taking a back-to-basics approach – presumably typical of his debut, College Dropout. “his new album is strictly hard beats and rhymes. He’s totally done with electro. You’re gonna be surprised what you hear.”

This fuels already rampant speculation regarding Kanye’s project, thought to be titled Good Ass Job, as it was reported recently that Q-Tip, RZA and Pete Rock might all be contributors to the project.

BEFORE: The Catch Up: LukeOming Steez

The much anticipated album by Lil Wayne, Rebirth!! Set for a February 1, 2010 release according to Wikipedia. I checked a bunch of sites to confirm the track list and I came to a consensus of the following, with 9 additional bonus tracks. Not sure whether these will be on the album, on a separate bonus disc or what. Either way, I feel like this album will get scrutinized like Kanye’s 808′s and Heartbreak did. Listen to this with an open mind and you’ll probably appreciate it more. LUKE UPDATE: Even though Amazon leaked some 500 copies of the album, I’m sure the tracklist will change by the time the official album drops.
